Terms of Service

effective august 2026 · draft — pending counsel review

1. The service

ThreadSonar monitors publicly available posts on social platforms (currently X, Reddit, Threads, and Hacker News), scores matching posts for buying intent using automated classification, and delivers qualifying posts (“leads”) to your workspace. We process public content only; we never access private accounts, DMs, or closed communities on your behalf.

2. Accounts & acceptable use

You're responsible for activity under your account. You agree not to use the service to harass, spam, or dox individuals; to resell raw scraped data; to violate any platform's terms when you engage with leads; or to attempt to reverse-engineer our classification systems. Drafted replies are suggestions — you are responsible for what you post, including any disclosure obligations that apply to you.

3. Billing

Plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. The metered unit is a delivered lead. Leads you mark not-relevant are credited back to your quota automatically; we may review accounts whose refund rate exceeds 40% in a billing period. Trials require a card and convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends. Top-ups are one-time purchases and expire at the end of the billing period in which they're used.

4. Your data

Your signals, feedback labels, and workspace configuration are yours. We use feedback labels to tune your own signals' precision; we do not use your private workspace data to serve other customers. Public post content in our shared corpus is not exclusive to any customer.

5. Third-party content & takedowns

Leads consist of excerpts of and links to public posts authored by third parties. Authors may request removal of their content from our systems (see Privacy). We may remove content in response to valid legal requests.

6. Availability & changes

Social platforms change their access rules frequently; platform coverage may change with notice where feasible. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of uninterrupted availability. We may modify these terms with 14 days' notice for material changes.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for outcomes of outreach you conduct using the service.

8. Termination

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; access continues through the end of the paid period. We may suspend accounts that violate section 2 after notice where practicable.
